Angling has an excellent track record in education. All ages and abilities enjoy taking part and even reluctant learners find angling to be a rewarding and enjoyable way of developing new skills.

Fishwish offer a range of courses. Core aims can include mainstream curriculum learning goals; specialist knowledge in environmental sciences; development of key personal skills or a vocational pathway into further education in fisheries management or industry. These can be run as breakfast or after school clubs; vocational training; enrichment classes or as framework accredited qualification during curriculum hours. We can also integrate our courses with other qualifications such as the Sports Leadership Award or OCN's 'Step Up' Award.

All of our courses are well suited to the every child matters agenda: Being Healthy, Staying Safe, Enjoying & Achieving, Making a Positive Contribution and Achieving Economic Well Being.

Angling is now recognised by Sport England and priority listed by funding bodies that operate via the County Sports Partnership network.
