"HAPPINESS IS ONLY REAL WHEN
SHARED"
(Mc Candless 1968 - 1992)
Any angler that has successfully
helped another will see the truth in the statement. The Angling Development
Board (ADB) is the national licensing body for coaching qualifications,
which meet current 'good business practice' requirements demanded
by public sector organisations. To check availablity or book a place,
call the Angling Development Board on 0115 813535.
If you are new to coaching, consider our six
step plan:
1. Join your local angling
club!
2. Volunteer for junior
coaching days or work parties, bank clearing, bailiff duties if no coaching
takes place yet. This will make you known by the committee.
3. Show you are committed
before enquiring about possible club assisted funding.
4. Book your place with
the ADB well in advance
5. Gain experience and
mentored guidance from a Level 2 coach.
6. Develop skills and qualifications
that will supplement your coaching aspirations. (Technical Angling
Skills, Teaching or Youth Work Skills, Fisheries Management, Adult
Education, etc).
